The TIDA-00794 reference design is a temp sensing solution for IGBT thermal protection in HEV/EV traction inverter system. It monitors the IGBT temperature via the NTC thermistor integrated inside the IGBT module. It provides thermal shut down to the IGBT gate drivers once the NTC thermistor temperature rises above the programmed threshold. The design includes the IGBT isolated gate drivers, isolation to the high voltage, NTC signal conditioning, Load resistor, and I2C interface to the MSP430, which enables the design system to run independently under high power ratings.

TIDA-00796 reference design is a complete resolver solution based on system-on-chip (SoC) PGA411-Q1 sensor interface. Typical application for the design is in electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) powertrain systems. The PGA411-Q1 based design solves excitation amplifier, boost converter, diagnostics, signal conditioning and reduces the PCB area. This altogether will reduce overall costs and time-to-market.

The TIDA-01179 reference design is an automotive front-end power supply that is able to supply 30W maximum output for the 12V car battery. The first stage is a buck-boost DC/DC converter that maintains a stable 15V output voltage over the full DC range of the 12V battery conditions specified in ISO 7637-2 and ISO 16750-2 standards. The second stage is a compact buck converter that enables up to 20W output.

The TIDA-01344 reference design is a 24W, automotive 48V battery front-end power supply that generates 12V from a wide input range of 10V to 80V DC, up to 100V transient for LV148 standard compliance. The system consists of EMI filters for CISPR 25 compliance and circuit protection for clamping high voltage transients to safe levels for downstream circuitry. The fly-back controller implements primary side regulation with no optocoupler, allowing for extended life time and smaller board design, and the fly-back transformer is designed and qualified as automotive AEC-Q200 Grade 1.

This reference design is an automotive, 400-W, phase-shifted full-bridge converter which generates the 12-V output from a 48-V car battery. The enhanced phaseshifted full-bridge controller implements programmable delays which ensure zero voltage switching (ZVS) over a wide range of operating conditions. The output implements synchronous rectification, which enables fast transient response and a high loop bandwidth. The system regulates 12 V at no load with less than 100 mW of standby power. Pseudo isolation is achieved through a transformer to prevent the 48-V battery from being shorted to the secondary side. The half-bridge gate drivers can withstand a maximum boot voltage of 120-V DC.
